USC’S RODRIGUEZ, UMASS’ SIMMONS NAMED UMBRO/SOCCER NEWS NET NATIONAL PLAYERS OF THE YEAR
USC’s Amy Rodriguez and Zack Simmons of the University of Massachusetts have been named the UMBRO/Soccer News Net College Players of the Year.

The national award was selected based on on-line fan voting (40%) and the votes of the editorial staffs of the six sites in the Soccer News Net (New England Soccer News, Big Apple Soccer, Philly Soccer News, ChicagoLand Soccer News, Dallas Soccer News and LA Soccer News), as well as from sponsor Umbro.

UMBRO USA will be the title sponsor of College Soccer coverage on all six of Sports Vue’s Soccer News Net regional sites: BigAppleSoccer.com, LASoccerNews.com, ChicagoLandSoccerNews.com, NewEnglandSoccerNews.com, PhillySoccerNews.com and DallasSoccerNews.com.

UMBRO’s branding will include logos on all college soccer pages on each of the sites, as well as a major advertising presence across the network. In all, the Soccer News Net sites cover more than 40 NCAA Division I schools, including approximately half of those ranked in the top 25 in the national polls.
